The Shit Museum is part of ‘The Anthropocene Project’: a vast interdisciplinary research, planned and implemented by Armin Linke with Anselm Franke and the Territorial Agency (John Palmesino and Ann-Sofi Rönnskog), which over the last two years has catalysed materials and scientific intuitions, cultures and policies around documenting those human activities that define our age and lead to geological change. The project is articulated as a kind of archive, a database of contents, images and interviews. An observatory on the particularity of our geological era, defined by the chemist Paul Crutzen as ‘Anthropocene’.
