The first bio-bus in history is in service on the route between Bath – Bristol airport, using solely biomethane produced by the sewage system of Wessex Water. A full tank of gas, which requires the bodily waste produced by five people in a year, is enough to cover 190 km, as reported by the British daily newspaper The Guardian, with far lower harmful emissions than those of the latest diesel engines. A great step forward for the economy and ecology of
the 21st century.
