On October 21, 2017, the Shit Museum welcomed Charlemagne Palestine, an iconic figure in contemporary music, with his concert-performance CHARLEMAGNE CHARLEMERDE CHARLESHIT CHARLEMAGICO. On this occasion, the American artist decided to rename himself Charlemerde, interpreting freely and playfully the cultural and innovative values of the cow dung – at the core of the Museum’s philosophy and vision – through an installative piano performance. The event, recorded exclusively in the Museum's Sala Scarabeo Stercorario on the previous day, was organized in collaboration with Terraforma.
